Samba 4 Week Course
Bouncy and fun, this progressive Latin American dance has you moving around the dance floor to rhythmic music.

Our 4 week course takes you through from start to finish. Whilst it is available to all levels of dancer, we do recommend that you have had some dance experience before embarking on this course as it can often require patience and perserverance!

Details of courses running can be found under the intermediate heading on the left hand side.

Samba Timing: 2/4 (2 beats per bar)

Samba Tempo: 48-54 Bars per minute

The Samba originated in Brazil and is the party dance of Rio. It is still danced extensively in Brazil, although the Samba that is danced in the Ballrooms and International competitions around the world is a far cry from the party dance of Brazil.

The Samba is one of the few progressive Latin dances. The music is lively and fun and the dance is often a popular choice amongst social dancers. Energetic and fun to learn to dance. It is one of the five dances used in International competition style Latin American. Most recently it will have been seen in the UK on the hit BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing.
