Born in 1972, an exceptional non-dancer, he was reminded of this throughout his early years. At the tender age of 18 he was selected to be the person least likely to be danced with at a party due to the aforementioned lack of ability.
By 20, and with the intention of impressing a lady he finally took a dance class whilst working in Preston. Still struggling, and almost quitting due to being unable to come to terms with the basic steps of the Cha Cha Cha he persevered. Lending credence to the old adage that if you can’t do something then teach it! |

Having danced initially as a young girl, Beckie returned to dancing when she attended university in Chester and joined a class run by Aspirations. Whilst working for Aspirations, Beckie gained her first qualification with the UKA for freestyle. After leaving Aspirations to set up her own dance business and studio in Hoole in Chester, Beckie continued to dance, teach and compete. After closing the studio when she had her baby, Beckie returned to Aspirations in the Summer of 2008, where she teaches the adults and kids streetdance classes, and partners Richard in a variety of classes. |

Abbie has over 12 years dance experience in Tap, ballet, modern, freestyle & Jazz. Having appeared in shows and pantomimes, Abbie made the transition to partner dancing when she joined Aspirations in 2007. Started working for Aspirations in the Summer of 2008 and partners Richard through a variety of different classes. |

Mel has many years experience of dance, including 8 years dancing Freestyle Disco to a high standard. Mel has also appeared in a number of musical productions and pantomimes. Having danced a bit of Jive in University, Mel got the partner dancing bug and joined Aspirations in 2008. Mel started working for Aspirations in the Autumn of 2008 and can be seen partnering Richard and working on the front desk. |
